Thanks Skip, Ed is one of 2 really good painters I know of that do bikes. I actually had him do a bike for me many years ago. I was fishing for any other names but will probably go with Ed when the time comes. Still need to figure out the what BMW decals or color pattern I want on a white tank.

Does it turn into an espresso machine when you want it to be covert?

Dirt near downtown

I live near downtown and I think I just got my bike ready to rock, I'd like to get it off the street and stop pissing off the neighbors and hit the dirt. Is there anywhere nearby? I had heard of a route from the Tucson mountains to Marana but can't find it. I've been mountain biking here awhile so I know my way around slightly but all that is non-motorized. Thanks for any help.

Cool! How deep do you want to get, and what are you riding?

Nm the second question, checked your profile. Xr600! You ARE ready to play! Reddington rd on the east side is a great region, but you have to cross town first. There's some great power line roads north of tangerine to goof around on. I have a friend downtown on a KLR, and we crossed over gates pass and found some dirt on the other side that may or may not have been intended for motorized travel.. south on i19 there are all kinds of trails and back roads. Not much closer though. There's a big DS ride coming up in November down there called "There will be dust" that might be a good experience for ya. Madera canyon, Patagonia, and the area has lots of roads. Personally I'd like to explore some of the old mining roads and radio tower roads going up in those mountains.

I guess it depends on what you're looking for.

Yeah! I'd love to explore some of those ghost towns and a lot of the places around here. That's why I bought it. But baby steps first, just got the carb figured out and I need a place close I can do hot laps to get everything sorted out and not have too far to get home(so if anyone has anything on the west side). If that doesn't work out I'll probably just truck it out to reddington or the BLM land where the 24 hour race is. Thanks for the advice though

motorcycle camping?

So, how about any tips on areas to go motorcycle camping...

My wife and I would like to camp off the bikes - since we are newer to
this area, I'm looking for suggestions. A nice ride out would be cool, and I
don't mean just up to Mt Lemmon...

I can only imagine the possibilities are endless - any local favorites?

Thanks for any input - CHEERS! !
