I have a set of tires free to a good home.

Kenda trakmaster K-760 DOT approved knobbies, standard DRZ sizes (110/100-18 rear, 80/100-21 front). They have 600 miles of mostly dirt riding. Rear is pretty worn but usable if you don't have anything else, front is almost brand new. (Gotta take both )

I'm picking up a second set of rims, and I'll have a set of more street oriented tires on those, and I swapped these out for non-DOT knobbies (MX71 front, D739 rear).

I live up by the Foothills Mall, meet me up here, or I can meet you within a reasonable distance. I can probably bring them to the RG if I can ever figure out which Thursday it is.

Just signed up today for the ride along with a couple of other guys from the shop - looking forward to it - should be fun!
Anyone else going?

A buddy of mine and I have our sights set on it. I'm supposed to be at a wedding at 4 in the afternoon, though. No problem, right? :P

I'll jump on em if no one else needs. Could put them on my dr350, or my buddie's DRZ.

Tires are gone.

Cleaned the garage today.

Free to a good home, bike lift, not sure on make or model, it's not a Harbor Freight as far as I can tell, says "PL" on it a few places. From what I can tell seems very heavy duty, quality item. Casters all work perfectly, and it rolls smoother then some of the motorcycles I've owned. Has dual arms with a plate in the middle, locking casters, and a lock to keep it up in the event of a jack failure.

Catch: Needs a jack.

The jack in the middle does not work, needs a new one or rebuilt. You can buy jacks at HF or a junkyard. The pedal can be removed from the existing jack and installed on the new one. Shouldn't be that hard or expensive to get this working.

I got it for free with a trailer I bought. Thought about getting it working, but I already have a HF one that works.

Local pick up only, not going to ship this thing, it must weigh 50-60lbs.

Call out to any noobs or snowbirds. Anyone want to do a big bike ride Sunday morning? I am thinking 83 to 82 to Harshaw ghost town to Dusquene Road to the border and back either via 19 to Aravaca Road to Three Points and in Ajo or something a little shorter. We can wing it upon people's time and energy.

I don't think we have anything planned for Sunday. Will let you know tomorrow.

Gee, might as well top it off with Gates Pass!

Carb cleaning update

A little while back I asked about where to get the carb's on my wife's 500 Vulcan cleaned so I thought. I would let you know how it turned out. Couple of recommendations for Frank Z which I had initially thought of too but didn't think he worked on Japanese bike. Anyway, emailed Frank and sure enough he didn't work on them anymore and wants to concentrate on Adventure bikes. Which is good for Frank as that probably means he is fully back on his feet again.

He recommended ESP (Evan Steel Performance) as being really good at fuel issues, but they too are steering away from everyday Japanese bikes and concentrating on sportbikes. The guy I talked to said to go to Supernova on Speedway. They are near Swan and I had seen the shop but had no idea what it was called. The guy at ESP did say to call him back if Supernova didn't want to do it.

So long story short, Supernova did the job and was done when they said it would be and the cost was right where we had talked about. 3 hour job @ $75 per hour plus a few extras like plugs etc.

Pretty happy with them and would recommend them to anyone.

Russ
