Least heavy traffic route thru Tucson?

Leaving Apache Junction via Florence heading to Green Valley area to tour the Missile silo.

Always get stuck in heavy traffic as we get into North Tucson. Is there a best way to avoid the worst of the stop and go traffic? My buddy rides a pristine RT, so dirt roads are pretty much out.

Thanks in advance,

roy

Don't go into Tucson. At Oro Valley, turn right on Tangerine (at the light), follow tangerine to Dove Mtn Blvd (another light) turn left, that road has a different name, that I can't remember. It is a new road and may not show on your map, it will take you to I-10.
If you're in a hurry it's quicker to go through Coolidge and pick up I-10 at Picacho. It's not as scenic though.

Funny, even the expert calls a FS OHV trail open to quads, a singletrack in the Tucson region.

What development, and how much rerouting? And why is the state, if so, involved with a trail on federal land?

Are they going to actually put in a true singletrack piece of tread!

Good, the one thing the Coronado NF is lacking is any motorized ST.

I have a post in the Flea Market looking for this, but I thought I'd check with the local crew too.

I am looking for the headlight shroud from a DRZ400S/SM. Just the plastics, no headlight/hardware etc. Stock would be great, but anything that has the same size opening and can be mounted to the stock mount hardware would also work. I'm upgrading the headlight on my DRZ-E, it has the baja designs headlight and it's junk. So if you've gotten a Lynx or ADVMonster on your DRZ and have the stock plastic sitting around not being used let me know.

Thanks!
