DonBenito told me about this ride, but I ride with another group on Sunday mornings. I might be able to do a Saturday ride once in a while on my DR350SE. Or I could ditch the guys on Sunday once or twice.

Sorry to hear someone got hurt. Unfortunately that happened on my last group dirt ride as well.

I did the Chimney Rock loop yesterday morning. The south part to Chimney Rock is really nice and pretty easy. Beautiful. I figured the north part would be fairly easy as well. This is not the case. I got in over my head a few times, but fortunately I never dropped the bike or fell off.

The area I went down in wasn't very tough. Just one of those things. I was really surprised when I got up that I was actually hurt. Didn't seem like a big hit. Hurts like hell though. I should be back up in a few weeks. I can't believe nobody got a pic!

Aww, I thought it might have been dislocated. Hope Allyn didn't scare you away for the next ride. :-)

Hope you're on the mend today Steve!

Allyn was a real pro at 2-up dirt riding yesterday but I know from my trip riding pillion back in that you had a bumpy trip out!

No man nor bike left behind, that's a good crowd to be riding with.

He did a great job. I can't thank you all enough for getting me out of there. Give me a couple of months and I'll be back out there. Until that time I'll need lots of pics from everybody else's rides.

Sorry to hear about the break. I've been reading a lot of threads on shoulder protection and how collar bones get broken, so wanted to ask how you hit the ground. Arm out to break the fall or shoulder first? What gear did you have on? I've had partial shoulder replacements on both shoulders so I'm looking for ways to keep the bones intact these days.

Heal fast.

I appreciate you asking this. I didn't get to attend this ride, but was wondering a little about it from the standpoint of "what can the rest of us learn from this experience?"
