Hey Minnjim! I've got a dr350 undergoing a heart transplant, but maybe after the recovery I'll be able to join up with you guys!

Sounds good! Stay in touch.

I hit shoulder and helmet about the same time I guess. I had on MX boots and hip pads in the gear, but nothing protecting me up top, just a jersey and helmet. We had just been talking about that on the stop before I went down. I had said that would be my next purchase. I don't know if it would have helped or not since I didn't actually hit my collar bone, it broke from the impact pressure on my shoulder. I'm sure it would have spread some of the force though. Live and learn I guess.

Did you get the bad connection fixed at the rectifier yet?
Bad connections heat up, and lose contact,
I can remember having to scrap clean that connector once
to get lights.
A shorted battery can also draw to many amps heat up connector.
Remember it is a a KLR, if problem arises beat it with milk crate, to resolved.
I have not got plate yet, or I would say where you wanna go for short test ride.
Or bring it back out here, you do the kicking, I can help make it run.
We had KLR tech days with a few here, back in 2009

I know what terminal you're talking about. It's pretty dirty and corroded, but the female side in the harness is not secured in it's housing. Battery lit a test light i put on it. I've got a new rect and section of harness on the way from Apache junction. Short test ride sounds great, considering that we're a good 25-30 miles apart :)

I've got a 661 pressure suit you can have, if you want it.

Since female side was not secure, I pushed it forward through the connecter, cleaned both terminals tightened female (pinch for no wiggle) and install first, then pushed connecter on.

Sounds good pm me or call
I will be rolling out the 42 year old Yam enduro,
with the ridem, don't, hidem mind set.
I won't be able to keep up with you, but we can be there in case
either one of our test rides malfunctions.

Don, how are you doing? Cathy and Skip asked about you yesterday. I think they would like to make contact if you are up to it.

Doing fine with the meds, they just sap my strength and stamina. Or is that what getting older does?!

It's not bulky at all, but really good protection.

Someone farther up asked for photos. This is the north part of the Chimney Rock loop. The north part is much harder than the south part. I didn't take pictures of the hard stuff. Probably shouldn't have done it alone either.

After you rode down the hill did you ride back up a couple times for practice? Coming East to West is a little tougher than the way you went
