Hey moggi1964,

Thanks for your patience. We've updated the Avon Storm 3D X-M Tire product page.

Sizes:

Front 110/80/R19:
  • Out of stock. ETA for re-stocking is Monday, 8/4.

Rear 150/70/R17:
  • It is in stock at our distributors, but our site currently says out of stock. That will change tomorrow to in stock.

Please let me know if I can help with anything else. Thank you for your help keeping our site updated.

Thanks Brian.

Looks like I'll need to go with PR3's again as I leave for my trip on the 5th. Bugger!

Oh well, at least the PR3's are good

ISO summer waterproof stand-alone pants, no liner, must vent well

howdy,

i need a summer-weather waterproof pair of pants that do not use a removeable liner. i need them for stand-alone wear over a pair of bike shorts or gym shorts. i am covered as far as winter pants and mesh pants, i just need a summer waterproof pants.

requirements:

1) excellent ventilation or coolness
2) waterproofness
3) must not fit like clown pants
4) gore-tex not required but would be "good to have"

what have you got to recommend or me?

thanks,

-eric

Klim Induction jacket

I finally put some miles on my Induction jacket and i would have too give it an 8 out 10.
The only complaint is the cuffs are so tight, I have to fight too get my dirt 2 gloves velcro together!
By putting a pleat or a zipper to open up the cuff, would of scored a 10!

Shark RSR2 Replacement Lid

Hi, i need to replace my Shark RSR2 lid (due to age) and I love this lid in every way and am disappointed that it is discontinued. I wear a x-large (hat size is 7.5") and am wondering if you can recommend a viable replacement.

Much appreciated,
Marty

Hey Eric, this is a tough question to answer as "excellent ventilation" and "waterproof" don't mix well. Since there is almost always a compromise to this equation, I'll give my best recommendations below with the caveats listed as "Downside":

REV'IT! Gear 2 Pants - I actually wear these myself. Fit like a standard pant and have excellent ventilation. Downside - Waterproofing is a removable liner.

REV'IT! Enterprise Pants - Standard pant fit, waterproofing in outer shell. Pockets, Hydratex breathable liner. Downside - Not great at ventilation.

Rokker Revolution Waterproof Jeans - Fit like jeans (totally awesome! ). Waterproof, breathable, and C-change membrane regulates body heat to keep you cool (or warm) when needed. Downside - Might not be comfortable over bike shorts.

Klim Badlands Pro Pants - Waterproof, breathable (GTX), vents extremely well (intakes at thighs and backs of legs), standard fit. Downside - a bit pricey for what you are after and isn't as slim a fit as some (but not clown pants!).

Hope this helps! Don't hesitate to fire back with more questions.

Hey Marty, the RSR2 was a great lid for sure! If you want to stay loyal to Shark, the Speed-R and Race-R Pro would be the two best options for replacement. To me, the Race-R Pro is the most like the headshape and fit that you are used to. The Speed-R is a bit more intermediate-oval, but that might be a good thing for you! Before I make a recommendation on size, could you take your head measurement for me? Hat size is not always the best way to make a judgement on shell size or shape.

If you need help taking a head measurement, watch this video and ask a friend to help:

Shark Helmets Sizing

Let me know when you've got that measurement and we can dial in your size.

Thanks!

I see that Revzilla sells the excellent National Cycle/ZTechnik VStream windshields to fit the four major Japanese brands as well as Ducatis, Triumphs and Victorys.

Any plans to add BMW, or to accommodate special orders?

Hi Scratch33,

Unfortunately, our distributor doesn't carry the BMW fitment of the VStream windshields. We aren't entirely sure why , considering that they support a variety of other Vstream and National Cycle parts, but such is life. If we could source one for you we would!

Sorry for the disappointment ,

I hope to see you at RawHyde and the MOA. I'm trying to work a few things out with my schedule -- fingers crossed. It would be great to meet everyone and throw a little roost around.
