new tag:

while I was riding around the other day, I decided to grab a few file photos, since there was no tag to chase after at the moment.

This place was built in 1765 and the original owners raised 10 kids there. If you need more clues, tell me.

Well, I'm on my way home from work this evening, I come around a courve and I run into this,....what are the odds.
Good Ole Walnut Grove Plantation. Skimpy clues Skunk , but I have fought several skirmishes here in the past. When I'm not out running down tags, I'm a Rev War reenactor with the Cowpens Militia. We have a live reenacted battle every year here. Set up camp for the weekend for the local visitors. Its lots of fun. If I can find a photo of me in character, I'll post it.
Where should the next tag go???HMMMM

I swear this is my last one!!!LOL

I knew it this morning but did not go out; had to take my wife to the doc for a follow up visit for recent arthroscopic hip surgery. Now Mudsliinger has to drive all the way to Francis Marion to get it off his back and out of the Upstate

I thought "geschlossen" might have been a clue, but "german house sc 1765" didn't get me anywhere.

"South Carolina historic home built 1765 10 children" did the trick. The Spartanburg County location clinched the deal.

Funny how you can't find your way home without going off the beaten track

Well shazzam!

I had this one figured out last night, but simply couldn't get motivated this morning. The German was my odd clue. I remembered some one saying BMW has donated a lot of money to Walnut Grove and were heavy benefactors of the Fall event there.

Marc....we need to talk. I too am a colonial reenactor. In fact, I'm heading to Savannah this weekend for an event. I belong to Lock's/ Kingsbury's but am wanting to get connected with a closer unit. My trip to Bantam Chef included a stop to check on the schedule at Cowpens.

Well, it is a small world. Here is me a couple a years ago at the Battle of Cowpens. John Moss is our commander. I've been fairly inactive this past year, but do a few school appearances and such.
Hey don't you think we'd get some looks if we mounted our rides dressed like this!

I was still a newb. Hat is cocked on wrong side!!.
Funny where our hobbies lead us!

Well here's the new tag. Its a great day so those of you with the accomodating schedules fill your tanks and go get it!

Clue: This was one of the few places the state patrol could catch you driving in excess of 90 mph but not give you a ticket!

Good Luck

Hmm, could be a number of places, most of which I have been to. I can't remember off the top of my head which dirt tracks have guardrails around the infields and which don't, same thing with the concrete barriers at the top. Some do, some don't, or might have installed them since.

Oh and I fixed the map, I had totally forgotten the magnolia sculpture in Glendale, as was pointed out to me in a PM. Corrected! Thanks for keeping me on my toes!
