New tag is on the top of a mountain named for a root traditionally used to make tea.
I've not been up there since I hurt myself (though I did get verrry close when I set the tag), but it sure looks like there has been a good deal of landscaping going on since the last time I went up there.

The lookout platform looked brand new. It's very nice.

I like it's use in a certain carbonated beverage.

Rode right by the turnoff yesterday on my way home from Rick's Rendezvous in TN, but I was so much in the zone on the curves that I didn't want to break my stride. So here's a bump.

GRAB

The new overlook at Sassafrass Mountain; right about here: N 35.06520 W 82.77645

There are brochures saying that the plan is to also put up an Observation Tower http://dnr.sc.gov/news/yr2012/sept20...sassafras.html

Might want to go see the place before it gets overrun..........

A view back up the road in

One more clue. You would have to trespass to get here without leaving the state.

Wasn't bad when I went through. Got the tag photo on my way to get the grab photo. Lotta gnats or what not up on Sassafrass, well come to think of it I did clean my face shield at every stop

Thunder storm was my biggie, put on what little rain gear I had, pretty well stayed in rain from before getting to BRP, over to 276, abated some coming down, wait for it........ Then the real stuff hit when I got to Brevard. Lightning before me, behind me, beside me, water running down the street. Good ride

My Bad

Yes indeed. Thought one of the locals was going, since someone said they just rode past it. My aim is not to make the tag impossible to find, and I should have offered more info earlier.
