New Tag...

The shoals were used as early as the 1820s to power a woolen mill, a saw mill and in the early 1920s an electrical power generating plant. A general store located between the dam and road served local residents. Foundations from some of these structures and area homes remain on the site.

Question

I guess the creeping senility is taking over quickly . I distinctly recall posting a new tag, but I surely do not see it either.

According to the way I read the rules, Explore&Expire is to post up new tag?

As per Explore&Expire's request, I will try to actually post the NEW TAG this time.

And my apologies for screwing anyone out of a nice weekend ride. Guess I 'previewed' and did not 'submit.'

On the way out of the state on a 3 digit highway, said digits totaling 16 when added together.

If by some stretch they actually open this road before someone grabs the tag, then this is the side view at that spot.

Thank you for your service..

When you are freed up some, let me know. When it is convenient for you, and I get a grab (either upstate or state, I don't much do the other two) I will return the placement to you. Or better put, pm me when you have a file tag you like, and then if I get a grab, I will turn it over to you. If any other taggers object, please speak up.

Oh, Loren! Easy Peasy. I was there last weekend. Does that count? I have pictures to prove it!

The barrier was open, and I also took a picture of the little waterfall nearby that I had not noticed previously, riding by at warp speed.

Anybody know when they are going to open the road again?

I don't try to make 'em hard, just something

Could have made it around the barrier, but I didn't......... The North Carolina end still says 'road closed' but the barricade is gone. So I thought it best to have the 'side view'.
