Sand Lake? Transalp?!

I had to find out. I've read, and I've heard, but I had to find out for myself. I had to find out what sand was like on a transalp. And it turns out that a 600cc dual sport with a rider fresh on the off road 'scene' can do sand!

I will say that it's not easy, I did get stuck once, but got out. The beach was my favorite part. Getting some speed up on the packed sand feels like carving on skis.

I had a 92 transalp a few years back, same colour as yours. I was an instructor at the time & covered massive mileage on it. It never missed a beat although it did eat its clutch at 50k, wheelies I guess.

Anyway, top bike which I have struggled to match for the last ten years. My 1150 beemer doesnt instill anywhere near as much confidence.
