KTM 250 XC F Dual Sport ?

Wanting to sell my 525 and dual sport the little 250 . I only do a handful of dual sports a year . LBL 200 and a few others . The LBL 200 would be the most pavement and miles . Would it be safe to gear it for dual sporting and run it ? Or would it be HARD on the engine , its a high rev 4 stroke. I hate to keep 2 bikes . but I do not want to melt the 250 on long runs . I do more woods riding than dual sports . Anyone ever run a 250 on a dual sport ?

Won't hurt it too bad.

If you're down on power go with the 305 or 350 kit from HTracing.
An oil cooler wouldn't hurt, either.

The bike will do fine for what you plan to do. You will probably wish you had XC-W gearing on the road though. But for the riding you do most of (tight woods), I think the XC is probably better overall for you. You can always gear the bike taller for the dual sports by changing the countersprocket for those rides.

Plenty of factory legal Husky TE250's out there I wouldn't ride one at more than 55 mph for extended periods though.

thanks guys , putting 13/48 ( stock ) on for weekend trail ride . I have a 14 and a 45 for dual sporting . I think it will work out ( just have to play with the gearing ) . I am going to miss the 525 , but its just sittting there . If I keep it , I will only ride it a few times a year . So Guess I'll sell it
