Tag

Finally, I got one. No controversy this time I hope!

It was on East Dougherty, a one-way street that cross McDonough. The statue itself is in some trees next to a small parking lot. Agnes Scott's campus is really pretty!

new tag

And I got the new tag on the way home.

This mural is quite bizarre. I guess people around here just like to push things to the Edge. I heard some crazy Sounds while I was here, too.

I had a near-miss after taking this shot. A car turned left in front of me at an intersection with very low visibility. I had been zipping along but thankfully knew this intersection and slowed up before it, so it wasn't hard to stop. He did the classic "i'm turning, i'm turning, OMG a bike I better screech to a halt directly in front of him!" We sat there at a dead stop, him blocking the intersection and staring at me like a nincompoop, until I shook my fist at him and he snapped out of it.

If I hadn't slowed up, I would've taken a flying lesson today!

Yikes dude! Glad to hear you saw him in enough time. This is my (and probably everybody else's) biggest fear while riding.

Glad to hear that you are ok. As a bike messenger, I deal with this daily. I really wish that people would first of all realize that there are other people on the road. The other thing that I wish they would think about is this. As a motorcyclist, and a full time cyclists, when we see the fact that the someone has made a mistake, by turning, or walking out in front of us, by all means, please do not stop when you see us. We have already compensated for where you are going to be, not where you are going to stop. If you stop, it only puts you more in danger than if you had just kept walking.

The lesson to be learned is to not walk out in front of traffic, without looking for others, and I mean looking out for everybody.

Hey all, I'm back. Sorry to hear about your near miss, feathered. Glad it came out in your favor. I had to clean out the grease trap at sound table when they first opened. We climbed into it and it took two trips with my 1000 gallon truck to empty it. I will never, ever, go there, ever again!!!

Ok... Ritebike! Play nice and post a tag. (You could get bruced again) Someone might want to ride this weekend.
