Wicked hoteling it next weekend - who's in?

I had my fill of camping this summer and this past week.

I camped about 35 days this summer. Northern Canada was plenty rainy and on the cool side through June, July and August. I just got back from camping in the Poconos for this past week and man was it cold. The last 2 nights were in the high 30s and yesterday it did not get out of the mid fifties.

Therefore...
I am hoteling it at the Ramada/Hammonton Inn. I have not heard of may others doing this as of yet.

PM me if you want to go in on a room.

I plan to take a half day Friday (some light riding and heavy beer drinking)
hotel it - Friday and Saturday.

Registration is in the mail first thing tomorrow morning.

Hey: So far the Hotel has about 30 rooms booked for the event. The name has been changed from last year, it's now called the "Hammonton Inn" on RT 30 in Hammonton. 609 561 5700. Mention the PB300 and they have a "special" rate and also have a late check out deal for sunday thats makes it nice when your done riding.

Also, I prerode the Sat route on Thu and had a blast. The roads are in great shape, from the rains and cool temps, very little sandy sections, but plenty of puddles. It rained again last night and I'm going out today to preride sunday routes.

We're having a GPS and general event discussion 8PM Fri at the hotel. The meeting room in the middle of the first floor will be the event "Head Quarters".

Right now we have about 70 riders entered , thats a good number for us, the cut off is 100 riders plus 25 crew, support and club members.

Anyone planning on riding the "Enduro Section" should have folding mirrors, or a wrench to remove the mirros before entering the section. It's doable on a GS, but the mirrors will get in the way, or brealk off.

Another cool thing this year is The Dual Sport Amory will have the trailer full of accessories, tires and tools in the hotel parking lot, maybe I can get them to stock up on mirrors.

http://www.dualsportarmory.com/

I'll send out an email to the registered entrants on monday or tuesday, the GPS route will go out a day or two later, and be available at the Hotel. WE support Garmin GPS's only .GDB files. The route is available in other formats, .GPX and we also tested a Magellan, and it worked OK. A few other formats are available, email me with questions, we may be able to send you a test file to try before the event. Some of the "street" GPS's don't allow routes to be downloaded into them, we like the chartplotter series, 176, 276C, 376C, 60CSX etc. and touratech mounts.

Thats all for now. Just remember it's wet out there this year, for those who remember the first PB300 in April, 2006, here's Mermil. Our international adventurer crossing a stream.

Tht's all for now.
Jack

PS: Does anyone have a LCD projector we can use for the event. The one we borrowed last year isn't available to us this year, and I don't feel like buying one.

Thanks Jack

Thanks Jack once again for hosting this event.
Myself and Capt Morgan will be their, our 3 rd year in a row.
Entry forms mailed last week.
We consider this event to be our big event of the year and would not miss it.
Great people, always a good ride and just great to see all the friends we have made over the years.
We booked a room and did some riding last Saturday and yes the trails are in great [fast] shape, the rain has sure groomed them.
Well looking forward to seeing you all.
Take care and ride safe.
Wayne.

Went out this weekend and the conditions were really nice. Sand is in much better shape than last year.
