Welcome to some of our newer members.

I rode hwy 22 from Gonzales to Hammond today. I picked it out because it looked twisty on the map. It was a surprisingly good road. I probably saw 200+ motorcyclists. It seems to be a popular destination for the sportbikers and cruisers. Lots of good places to eat along the way. Anyone else ridden it?

It's sport bike squid heaven. There was a two wheel crash out there today around 2:00 pm. Did you see anything?

Hey - Paul from Lafayette signing in.
Rode with the self proclaimed smart-ass from Natchitoches on the E Tx DS run in Oct 08. That is until he ate some roadkill Sat night that didn't agree with him, forcing him to retreat home early Sun. That's what toughened up his stomach for his Mexican trip.

I was at that same E Tex/La DS ride. I had just returned from four months in Guam, courtesy of Uncle Sam. Had a great time meeting new folks. The mud on Saturday caused a bit of trouble, never was a good mud rider but really like the loop on Sunday. Not too much to view here in Shreveport. Much more of a street bike kinda place. The KLR doesn't really fit in, but that's "their" problem.

Howdy Ken,

Yeah, you were at the La DS ride, not the East Tex. When are you coming back down??

Nice bike. I just picked an '04 like it up in Austin this last weekend. After 17 years on KLR's , 2 years on DR350SE, 1 year on a DRZ400SE, it's a new learning experience. Something different to play with and now able to leave my Bandit along. It's breathing a sigh of relief from my work bench.
