Seeking permission to post a "special" ride report series...

I have recently returned from a 15 month, quasi RTW trip (Russia, Kyrgyz, Tajik, XingJiang, Tibet, Nepal, Patagonia, Bolivia , Peru), much of which was completed by motorbike. This trip included perhaps, the first motorbike traverse of China 219 (XingJiang Tibet Hiway, the illegal southern route to western Tibet) by a Westerner on motorbike (a locallly illeagally purchased hotian 150cc) . OTH, unable to find a bike, I was forced into buying a jeep in Central Asia. I also walked a great deal of Nepal & plan to inclide treks in Patagonia as well.

I have seen threads nuked from trip reports since they were not actual motorbike trips or moved to country specific forums.

I am wondering if I can post an "adventure series" including my attempts to find local bikes, buying jeeps, walking for months, being forced into political limbo and motorbiking across our planet.

PS -- I am a bit of a pro shutterbug and have many interesting pics to share.

Sounds like a great trip... and since it was on a bike, post it in Ride Reports

While a fair bit was by motor bike, a great deal was also by Jeep (Kyrgyz/Tajik) and by foot (Nepal).

I'd like to post the TR in 4 or 5 segments:

Adventure Driving? Jeeping across Central Asia.

Advnture Riding! Crossing XinJiang and Tibet.

Adventure Walking? Kumbhu & Anapurna
(Rented a bike for a day.)

Southern Crossing, Patagonia and TDF
(with some trekking)

Alti-Plaining, Bolivia and Peru
(with some trekkking as well)

Ride Reports! You rode - and walked and drove. But ya rode, so it's a Ride Report.

I'm looking forward to this.

Sounds like a lot less driving than some of the so called Ride Reports here already.

Sounds like an adventure no matter the transportation at any given moment.
