The low beam came with a 65w halogen i will probably put a HID kit in it. the high beam came with a 55w halogen which i will probably keep. yes i will put a fairing on it. I have just stuffed up the light bracket so I have given up for the night I found my self returning to the bad habits of drilling and cutting without measuring and the thing that has made me real angry is the fact that i have no beer in the fridge. I'll start again tomorrow. |

yep i was following his build, i was thinking of making my fairing look a bit like his.
That gear they put on the ktm's is just an engineer gone crazy I love the thought that's gone in to it all, it looks stunning without a fairing. (am I ill in the head) |

Dakar Logo
Got any DAKAR plaque jpegs I can use Mezo? Will definately make a few Dakar DR stickers for my boney! Nice morph! Now stand back and wait for the bike to be built! TOO bad the Dakar isn't allowing bikes bigger than a 450 to enter otherwise I'd seriously think of trying the Idea!

I'm using the rear mud guard and side panels.
I've been looking at it and i have decided to chop the dr's subframe off and replace it with an alloy one off a drz its looks like it would be much easier to do that than alter the existing sub frame to match the plastics. I have a new name for the build: drz650 project. Could this possibly be the first ever drz650. |

Nav tower light bracket thingy just about finished.
I still have to make the support strut for the road book/trip mount and give every thing a clean up. I just sat all the gear on the mount so that you can get idea whats going on I will hopefully get a second trip meter to go next to the trailtech speedo. ![]() ![]() ![]() I think i need to tidy the bench up. |

It does match up well to the safari tank.
You wouldn't happen to have a front on pic of that bike with a high guard on would you Lukas? Quote:

What finish are you gonna give that alluminium/Stainless? If I may suggest... Sand blast and annodise? Or are you looking to go the powdercoat root?
Just ordered the Vapor system as well. Should get it tomorrow hopefully! Hopefully not too difficult to install? First ever I have heard of a DRZ 650 Ha ha but I think its gonna be kick-ass! Let Suzuki know when you are done too! |
