Thanks very much!

BELTWAY!!! I have some 1986 parts

I have a stock XR250R carb that needs a total rebuild and is otherwise complete. I can soda blast it and install a carb rebuild kit, with a corresponding increase in value. I also have a stock header from the same bike. I'm currently running a Mikuni flatslide from XRs Only that came jetted and with a throttle for around $200. An an XRs Only header I found on this site. My next purchase will be the XRs Only oval muffler. Buy these parts from me and help me get that muffler. If your interested PM me and I'll send some pics.

GT_pedaler, I have a question, hoping you can assist: I am planning to buy a non-pumper flatslide for my 2003 XR. Can you advise what jetting you have, to use as a baseline? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

BP

Mikuni 34mm Flatslide jetting

The 34mm kit from XRs Only is for a big bore kit like a 280. I'm not sure of the 32mm jetting but this may help. 195 main, 40 pilot, 2.0 air jet, 6DH3 needle (second clip from the top), 0-2 needle nozzle.

Thanks. FWIW I have a 280 kit, porting, header welds ground, etc. I ran an FCR35 for a while, but sold it. I am going to a Mikuni soon, and a cam probably. Just not sure if it will be a 32 or 34

definitely 34

If you already have a 280 kit then the 32 will be too small. I bought the 34 with the plan to bore, port, stroke and cam my spare motor. It looks like POWROLL is out of business though so getting it stroked may be an issue. Any ideas?

Original license plate holder removal.

First of all, hello from the UK..! Been a lurker on the site for a loooong time and should have registered before now. Absolutely cracking place and full of good info. I have a 2001 xr250 and spend a lot of time green laning, just got a nice small flexi license plate to mount on rear fender, below rear light. Any of you good people know how the hell to get the original plate mount removed from under the fender..?? Going to retain the indicators and get a new rear light cover with a clear bottom section to keep the new plate illuminated and the feds happy.. Mucho grassyarse.

I don't know yet about stroking it...looking into this guy

With Powroll gone the choices are really limited.

This guy turns out to make strokers for later model years. Oh well. keep on looking.

Hadn't rode the XR since November last year. Went out there couple days ago, turned the gas on (no fuel stabilizer), two twist of the throttle, brrrappppp!!! Started first kick. Man I love this bike and the Eddie carb.

Guess now I'll start installing the stock pile of aftermarket stuff I have for it.

And that's a shame too.

Mine's finally going back together after swallowing a piston last fall. I'm sooo ready. I be needing some good dirt road/single track action.
