LM-

good stuff. New front rubber just beamed in to the shop. Now I just need to find a local place to do the deed.

Rear should be here Wednesday.

My center stand should roll in this week as well. Probably wait until then and have an easier time of managing the wheeless bike.

With you there 100%. I had a bike with really badly worn (notched) steering head bearings; about the same time a front tyre was at the wear limits. It steered terribly, of course it was originally ok but was getting worse and worse. (Coincidentally it was another Honda with standard ball bearings which I replaced with tapered rollers.) The tyre ended up being replaced first, and I discovered that the tyre was 90% of the problem.

That taught me an important lesson that is reinforced every time I replace a tyre. Tyres get shagged and handle badly well before they hit the wear limits.

Colin

Nah, the RC46 was first VFR800.

That's going to look great. What color scheme are you going with?

Im getting the VFR repainted in a month or two. Should I stick with the yellow on yellow (yellow rims too) (pearl paint) or go another scheme? Though, I'm very keen on the yellow. Thinking of adding polished front forks, engine and clutch covers gloss black and brake calipers gloss black with 'NISSIN' in gloss red to match the red braided clutch and brake lines Im about to order.
What are your thoughts?
