Mid-sized nakeds really aren't in my wheelhouse right now, but I think it's pretty cool.

May never see the light of day anyway....next page over in that Motorcyclist bit shows the same VFR1200T pic they've been floating around the net for years. Love my VFR12, but I've given up on an ST1300 replacement anytime soon. My next bike will be an FJR.

Fix the ridiculous headlight and maybe the radiator shroud and you'd have something. Not sure what the reason is for the manufacturer's aversion to round headlights lately but that insectoid look needs to go. Double points deducted for using it on a naked.

I suspect that this bike is either vaporware or Photoshop fantasy. The 800 has been out of production for a couple years, Honda has no history of trellis-framed bikes, their success with larger naked bikes has been poor, and they've shown no inventiveness or passion in several years. (Okay, if you consider the 700s and the new 500s as inventive...) The only thing that makes me think it's possible is that Yamaha has announced theirs. Balancing that is that Yamaha has been much more inclined and successful in building bikes to a price than Honda.

I ain't holdin' my breath.

Agree with the likelihood of seeing the bike on our shores, but the VFR 800 is still sold side-by-side with the 1200 in Europe, isn't it?

Not that I'm aware of. I'll go look.

I'll be dipped- Sure is. Well, that makes it easier to have the engines available, dunnit?

So, what's the end result in terms of raising the bar height?

Looks a lot wider, higher and farther back.

Yep. I didn't measure exactly before and after. I'm guessing about 1" higher, 3" further back, and 2" wider per side.

Nothing wrong with that!

So? Is the jury still out?

I did something similar to my Gen 5 (LSL clamps from a CBR1100XX kit, Nighthawk S bars) and, in conjunction with BLS peg lowering brackets, my VFR is all-day comfortable for this AARP-age squid.
