I'm in!!

Hi guys,
Unless there is an earthquake, flood, sandstorm, outbreak of some exotic flu (and probably even if these do occur), I am in

Wifey busy, so I will be 'batching'

Plan is to arrive around lunch Sat, not decided on bringing bike, but will probably trailer it and get a Sat arvo ride in before..... .

Will have to bail about lunch Sun.

Looking forward to putting more names to faces.

Cheers, 'Pirate' Pete.

P.S. Eso, my guess is the big 'department store' at the Eastern end of Dean st? If this is the case, you have a new best friend!!!!

Yeah Beet.

Oops, it seems I stuffed up an email & didn't circulate it, only sent it to one or two. Computers...bloody unreliable shit things, why do we bother!!!

Got to work out whats going on Saturday night. BBQ or a pub. I like the idea of a bbq, especially if there is a fire pit. Much more convivial than any establishment in my book.

Sunday morning has to be egg & bacon rolls.

Seeing as we're at the one caravan park, it probably wont be too hard to organise with short notice.

What's next?

We've gone out to Griffith.
We're going to Tocumwal this weekend.
We're going to Marysville.

That means the next one needs to be north or north east?

There is the Ulysses Club rally at Tiboburra - 18-20 September.
The Sidecar Rally on the Bridle Track / Macquarie River. Should be 3 & 4 October. First weekend of the school hols.

Tocumwal Saturday night

Hi all
We are in Tocumwal. Dodo works here, amazing.
It was dark when we arrived so I have not checked much of the park out but I lke the idea of a BBQ . According to the park map there is a camp kitchen so that might be a good spot, otherwise it shows a BBQ near the pool.
I have met with Eso Teric and his wife briefly. We might catch up a bit later.

Great Meet : )

Hi all,

Just wanted to mention that it was an excellent weekend
Was really good to put names to faces etc.

Sorry about Sunday breakfast, i like to sleep

Also a very big thankyou to whomever it was that taped up my brake lever, and thanks for leaving the tape too!! (i didn't need it because you did an excellent job of taping it) but i now have it packed as a permanant piece of equipment ... "message bein recue' " ...

I only took a few snaps but this seems to sum it up, nice turn out
this though doesn't show the 2 bikes with sidecar attachments that turned up.

Cheers to all and a great bunch of people

Eso and wife

Great to meet everyone, especially trokel for partaking in the long way home via a teflon slippery bush track. The big KLR managed to stay upright, shame about the DR.
I'm glad you made it home safe Eso with your brake lever probs, bloody centre stands
I look forward to the run to Marysville, I think it's something that needs to be done cause those poor buggers are still doing it hard, and every little bit helps.

Great weekend, it was good to meet some more riders from this area and chat over few beers. Top idea SCray
Thanks to everyone who made an effort to come along given the poor weather.

Clangers - Thanks for the challenging little detour to the ride. I really enjoyed it but geez that mud was hard to get off. I was surprised how much was caked up in the swingarm. I would like to explore some more of that area sometime.

Eso Teric good to hear you got home OK.

I am putting together some route ideas and distances for the Marysville ride. I wiil send an email out soon.

Hi Happy

Where did they break? Have you got any photos?

I was going to buy the Motech ones but I had heard a few people say they vibrate a bit. So I made my own out of heavy wall 20mm pipe with extra bracing to take out the vibration.
As you can see from this photo they are also a different shape to the motech ones.
