NX650 Lefthand Footpeg

OK well this is going to sound stupid....can someone post a pic or describe how to fit the spring in the left hand footpeg on the NX650??

Jesus ive rebuild the motor, forks and starter - do you think I can work out how this bloody thing goes back on?!

I cant fit it so as to tension the peg (so its forced back down if it gets bashed up), which is the whole point of the spring.
