1971 BMW R75/5 Cafe Bike - $3450 (Lake Elmo, MN)

This is a 1971 BMW R75/5 motorcycle that was converted to a cafe racer in Canada during the 1970s. I's a 750cc airhead twin with shaft drive. It has BSA front and rear chromed fenders, a BSA rear tail light, BMW R90s handle bars, bar end mirrors, a slash 7 headlight, and rare BMW Lester alloy wheels. This was the year before the chromed "Toaster" tank. The bike has something around 25,000 miles on it, starts and runs beautifully and is interesting and different in its own way. I have decided to go a different direction with my motorcycling interest and would like to sell this on to someone who wants a really different style of cafe bike. I might consider a trade for a BMW R27 single, or possibly a BSA, Ducati, Moto Guzzi or Triumph of equal value. Local delivery is possible (I have a small trailer). Clear title in my name and classic plates.

"1969 model, very cool, smaller bike, somewhere between 150 and 250 cc. It's all there and in good condition except for the top of the cylinder head. 8k-ish original miles. Sitting in my friend's machine shop in current torn-down state since 1971. Still has the tag on it from 71. This bike has virtually no rust anywhere. It is an excellent bike to restore original or create a bobber with. Resembles a BMW or Triumph of that era, as it was made in Austria. So yes, the engine comes with a bucket of parts, but the fenders and seat are neat mint, as is the fuel tank, no dents, comes with an extra mint front fender as well. Where can you find another bike from 1969 for $400??"

LOL, it was "torn down" in 1971? And it resembles a BMW OR a TRIUMPH? was made in austria? "Buckets of parts".... I think I am ready to lay down the bills!
