Powderface last Saturday

Hey guys, anyone take a run down the powderface this last Saturday? I did in the early afternoon (yellow DR with friend on old red XL350) and saw quite a few riders - some KLRs a few BMWs and a lot of orange!
The road was VERY fast on Sat . Some gravel on the East part but then became mostly hard pack dirt that my Duros really stuck well too. What a blast!

What a beautiful day for a ride!

Chris.

I sense a hint of sarcasm there... let's hear about the carnage that took place.

Tuesday the twenty eight

Hey guys, anyone up for a Maclean ride tomorrow? Maybe leave town by four thirty. I got some good trails we could hit up which should provide a modicum of challenge and danger.

Anybody still doing the Thursday rides?

Spray Lakes Road

Went up Spray for a ride yesterday. THe bastards are adding gravel and grading. Big ass mountain of dirt in the middle and the shit is deeeeep. Very scary of the F800GS even with no attachments. Would be good for a GS course for sure but not by myself.
Alberta seems to have an over abundance of gravel added to the roads. I'd rather see potholes of fun than that deep shit.

Ride safe

If you can ride tarmac okay, the trip from Canmore to Banff and 1A it to Lake Louise, then say Moraine Lake is super nice right now, or go up the 93 and stop at Storm Mountain Lodge. Great food. The back side of Storm Mountain around the Paint Pots is visually sweet right now.
Off road go Canmore to Highway 40 on the Spray (If ya like gravel) or of course TCH#1 to 40 into Kcountry, then to the forestry trunk road to Coleman, lots of off shoots there of course
What you riding? I'm F800GS n it.
