That's what I've got in the 908. Lemme know if you want it. BRAND NEW. Never mounted.

If not, I may take it to Blackfoot and see if they'll trade me a Heidi for it.

940 South of Highwood Junction

Wracked with guilt over my wickedness I rode through the barriers and into the fun that is 940 south of the Highwood Junction this morning. The best part, it's closed. No traffic coming north, low on the dusty scale and, no traffic (oh I already mentioned that didn't I). The washouts mentioned by Slabm7 a few pages back seem to be mostly repaired apart from a couple of mild-ish water crossings. What boggles my mind is the scale of destruction this road suffered in The Floods. The numbers bandied about in reference to the
cost of this flood to Alberta make some sense when I think of the damage to ONE road. An old timer we stopped to chat with down at the west end of 532 mentioned that the hump on 532 was measured to have received 12" of rain on the Wednesday preceding the shit show in Calgary. Wow. Funny things is of course that other areas further south (Dutch Creek) seem relatively unscathed. A funky ride that'll likely be pretty much it for me this season. I don't expect to ride the 940 under these conditions again. A guilty pleasure.

If Canadian Bacon doesn't want it I may be interested, heard these are a good tire, wouldn't mind trying it on my XR.

Limestone mountain tomorrow

Still going tomorrow to limestone - anyone else interested? We can meet at the bear berry saloon unless you come from the south in which case we can meet at the turn off to limestone on the trunk road.
Let me know! I plan to head out around 9 or 10 am.

Ride today

Would love to go today but have to stay around town (Sunde) today so it would have to be nearby. See my next message about tomorrow.

Andrea re-did my KDX seat a few years ago. Replaced some foam and installed all new vinyl or whatever it is. Looks great but more importantly, feels great! Good pricing and quick turnaround times. As mentioned, she is in the SE. I recommend her.

Would like to try a Renazco at some point as I hear good things. What is the ballpark pricing for a 640 seat? (Probably differs according to model, etc...?)

6 Dudes do Eureka, Montana again!

Can't get enough of the Adventure riding just across the Border. 3rd time this year. Have just scratched the surface so far. Lots more well maintained gravel roads, 2 lane track and bumpy pavement. Too much fun until my rear tire blowout on highway 2 at Alderside while coming home. No real damage done but a 2 hour wait on the windy highway while my buddy went home and returned with his trailer. Otherwise awesome as usual.

I'll be negotiating for a deal this winter as I'm in need of tires for both my bikes.

Sorry to hear about the tire. Glad the rest of the trip was good. Any pictures?
