Blown fork seal on the 990... Oh well, still a TON of stuff to unpack yet.

Limestone Update

Well looks like your buddy was a little too far from the top! Just returned from an awesome weekend of biking and camping at Limestone and the road is definitely blocked going up to Limestone!

Several Quads tried to make it even after I warned them it was waist deep and they all got stuck!

But it was only about a three hour hike from our campsite to the weather station at the top and the Gal up there (and her Dog) were quite pleasant. She said we were the first people up there this year! Beautiful trip and the Tiger behaved wonderfully - even on some of the real muddy roads!

Spent the weekend exploring the dirt roads in the Sweet Grass Hills of Montana. There are some outstanding routes between the Whitlash and Sweet Grass border crossings. Well worth a trip down there:

I've put 6,000 km on her already this season - I am loving it! It did take a bit of a reset for entry speed to the corners after coming off the Husky... turns out that even KTM can't change the laws of physics. But I feel pretty comfortable on it now. The Renazco seat and Safari tanks make it a great long-distance machine.

I nearly went off a couple cliffs in Utah and Nevada on one of them. They carry their weight into corners and it's hard to get used to.

We just did a trip up to Jasper. Went pretty well. I saw a few new 1190s, a ton of V-stroms and a few BMWs of various displacements. And even one other SMT.

I thought I had a bunch of life left in my rear tire. This trip has me down to the fibres, now. I was a little surprised. I figured the tire was good for more than 12k.

Not tomorrow (I wish!) but want to try McLean creek as have never been. I will certainly be interested in company when I get time to go there. Fun to see other tigers too!

Ride mid next week

A northerner is crashing your town next week Tues - Thurs and would enjoy going for a ride with someone who is familiar with your areas out to the West. I am planning on riding a 950.
Any thoughts would be great.
Thanks
