I can see "save the gravel" bumper stickers popping up in Calgary :)

It would be a real shame to have PF shutdown - it's a great road to introduce new gravel riders to, and a fun one to shake the cobwebs out on mid-week evening rides.

I was tempted to bypass the new gate but a combination of a slowly healing broken toe, deep mud at the edge of the gates and a fully gassed up GSA sapped my courage. Th e road closure was better last year with just the rocks to discourage cages.

Someone made a youtube video of him riding powdrface. I hope that we arent going to be reduced to "virtual riding" powderface.

I'm New to you guys. I'm heading south to explore the crowsnest area to the border. Probably head over to the hot springs by whiteswan and back. Trunk roads for the most part. Open to ideas. Leaving Friday. Back Sunday. Camping. PM if interested.

It will be difficult to open flooded trails if they flood again mid repair. As far as powderface, I thought some oil company needed the road. Does that mean it will be repaired and open to us, or will there be a locked gate for them only?

As mentioned in past posts Shell fixed road likely better than we want(gas plant @ Moose Mtn) but the government has not re-opened it for some reason.

I was wondering if the FTR is open from Ghost Lake north? A buddy is wanting to head down from Edmonton that way tomorrow and said he was having trouble finding info.

Thanks

FTR is open all the way to GP.

Edit: Only closure I know of out here is on the Canfor Main, which is an off-shoot of the FTR that goes East/West to either 40 or 43.

Triumph Night!

At Blackfoot last night. Good time. Plenty of socializing and lies. Blackfoot put on a good gig as usual. Plenty of food and drink and lots of pretty ladies too. Blackfoot won the overall Triumph sales trophy for the year again. Plenty of prizes for us customers too. Thanks Blackfoot.

We went, too. Took the SMT and the CB5X.
I sat on the Tiger Explorer for the first time. That's a comfortable machine!
I didn't have any of their cake but I did get a nice Triumph T-shirt.
