Lee, good advice re stripping the bike of its mirrors and lowering/removing the windshield. Hope you are healing up and will be back on the 990 soon!

I am planning to get the bike out for a spin this Sunday if the weatherman is correct and spring returns. Cheers, David
Like someone else pointed out, the balance exercises were a bit tiring at the start, but most falls during the course were during the rut simulator, show in the pictures above on the boards. Some guys crashed during the tight turn instruction.

The key is listen to the instructors, as they do explain, quite well, how to, before each exercise. Do what they tell you and the technics actually work. Good core strength helps to.

It was a good way to spend a day and the bonus was having the track to ourselves for a bit of holiganism at times.

Oh and as to the leg, I hope it is healing OK. They are keeping me in a PTB cast for the next two weeks yet, then?? Time will tell. Glad to hear you get paroled early! Have fun out there!

Yes'er on the leg thing !!!

Our Edmonton brother got his cast off, and is now signed up for physo and stregthing for the next month and beyond to put mussel and mass into the big gun.

The main thing is that he takes caution on the good leg at the same time as it plays the roll as main support over the whole chassy.

Same deal, but the destination for tomorrow's dinner is Hanna.

Lee, its not so much a case of getting paroled early as desperate enough to take a calculated risk for the sake of my sanity.

So, end of the month should tell the tale for you? Any risk you may not be ready to go for your May long weekend trip? Here's hoping all is well by then. Cheers, David

That cast just has to push down not lift like the clutch side. (Only kidding, dont do it)

Tried out wildrose mx park in the mud. Lots of mud and lots of fun. 17 dollars at thecar wash to get all the mud off. Mud is nice and soft to fall in.

Made it out to the end of the Transalta road today. I saw a little of everything on the road. Ice, snow, mud, dust and stretches of scattered potholes deep enough to swallow a man.

A moment of inattention and my nemesis, a muddy rut.

The only real snowy section. Jeeps were making the side of the road a quagmire. I managed to get around the snow without difficulty.

The riverbed was in great condition

PM replied.

Pretty sure it was someone else. I don't think I was on the FTR with a bike last year. If I was, I would have been on my 640.
