Well, the photos at the beginning are from the "Invermere" part of the Crowsnest Weekend. Paradise Mine to be exact.

(*Maybe it's time for a street bike*)

Of course, I may not be the most reliable guy to ask about tires, I ride mine till they're slicks anyway .

THats good - because I have a new Metzler that needs to go on - BUT... the one on now has about 1/4 inch tread depth left.... haha ! That'll work ?....

C'mon Coho, just put some tires on the thing already! I've changed my rear twice already this season. To be fair, I've only worn out half of the 606 and one Desert. Fronts getting changed tomorrow. Should be in Colorado in a week

I was on the top of Hall Mtn yesterday morning. Nice day.

I still use it to commute 20 Kms each way daily - what knobbies will last/hold up? can't afford a second set of rims yet to swap knobs for roads.

As it sits, the front Dunlop 606 pictured has about 7000 kms. Maybe more?? But it's done. I bought a few rear Michelin Deserts for less than what I paid for 606's, and I got 4500km out of the first one, and it suffered almost half of that on asphalt. If I was just commuting, I would have squeezed another couple thou. Rear 606's are good too.

950 guys are highly recommending a 606 or TKC front, and a Mefo Super Explorer rear. If I see one at a shop in the states, I'm going to pick one up.

THey hold up THAT well on pavement - 7000 kms ? I'd be ok with that.... even 5000 kms would be decent.
