Riders From Aulbury Wodonga & Wagga Wagga areas

I am looking for more riders from down your way to help with a Cancer Council Relay Ride from the 4th- 8th of May 09. Here is the link to the full thread.

The purpose of the ride is to raise awareness of cancer and raise money for treatment and research.

http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=421160

The full ride start from the Brisbane area with riders carrying a cancer council relay baton to Tweed Heads. A rider from Tweed would then carry the baton to the next check point and so on.......... eventually to Wagga Wagga and Albury Wodonga.

Riders will be reaching Wagga Wagga on the 7th of May and Aulbury Wodonga on the 8th.

See the schedule below .

I have a few riders lined up from your area but a few more would be great

This is the draft schedule

Hi canoeguy If you can ride from Wagga Wagga to Aulbury wodonga that would be great. You would be travelling from Wagga Wagga in the morning with a group of other adventure riders and arriving at Aulbury Wodonga at lunch time to pass the final baton to a cancer survivor.

I will add the times to the schedule in the near future.

I will send you a PM.

Bruce

As posted in the main thread, I'm doing a recce for the Wagga Albury leg today - Friday 27 March.
I'm actually driving so I can spend the day with the opposition leader. What a nice bloke I am.

went for the little strop this morning. I have a fabulous route from here to Wymah Ferry.

Only problem is that it took us about 5 hours in the car. It 188km to the Ferry, then 45 more into Albury.

Depart 9am arrive at Albury 2pm?

The Ferry MAY be open. I've got a number to ring to confirm yay or nay.
There has been a release from the hydro so the water level may rise above it's current 4%.

Otherwise the last 55km will include the Hume Hwy.

I've got the route from my GPS. But it's a bit weird when I open in in Google Earth. Some is track & some is point to point average.

Thumb Check Point Wagga Wagga

We need to choose a safe spot to pass the baton at Wagga Wagga. It needs to be easy to find, safe access with coffee etc. The time for leaving Wagga Wagga is 9.00am on the 8th of May as suggested by SCray.

Can someone please suggest a good check point? I will speak with SCray about this as well.
