i don't have a ride report or lots of pics to post.

the weekend was dedicated to learning, considering we don't get free lesson like this. jeff was true to his promise, came all the way from lake tahoe to give us hopeless nOObs the chance to learn the basics....

sat was simly going in circles and climbing a hill in a rut....after 2 hours, i was finished.

sunday was making turns on the side of the hill. i learned to put the weight forward and outside while at the apex of the turn. then we did the woops. get as much wheelie so the front tire does not end in between ruts. we have some cool pictures that bic (robert too) and hopefully we can post them later on. 3 hours of skilz drill was enoubh for me since my legs turned into gumby.

here's another parking lot pic, charlie (cribaby), jeff (tahoeacr), roger (rsc450 no more) and tony (toast)

Joel,

It looks like you guys had a great time. I ended up going to Gorman instead. Other than pumper carb jetting issues, the XR400 did well! Very comfortable weather as well.

Desert Skillz Weekend

First of all I want to thank Charlie, and his Dad John for hosting us this last weekend at Spangler Hills. Doghouse Riley reported on the Saturday ride already, so I'll add a few pics. It's my first attempt at posting pics, so here goes...
The lineup at the Burro Schmidt tunnel.

One more same spot..

Charlie, Ride Leader, and Head Mechanic

Sunday...lunch in Randsburg.

Thanks to all for the company and the beer . It was great meeting everyone. I had a blast, and will be back for more (with my desert tank next time). BTW, my TrailTricks suspension (KTM 450EXC) worked great!

Desert Skills

Hi Folks,

Along with everyone else I enjoyed great time with great people. John and Charlie, you guys were excellent hosts and make a fine team. Thank you both. Charlie thanks for your ride leads, advice, and hospitality. I learned alot and will continue to work on the skills, preparation, and trailside wrenching. Did'nt take many pictures but a few are forthcoming from Joel.
