Having followed this thread from the beginning, I'm sure I'll like my new suit...............but it would be good to know the details.
Details on the Lombard V5:
Design & Features are exactly the same.
The main changes are fabric and materials switch. We now use authentic Cordura for a large portion of the suit (with another layer of reinforcements underneath at critical impact points). We surveyed 300+ customers who have had the suit for more than a year - based on their feedback we have made significant improvements to improve the durability. We have had to increase the price due to conditions of the economy - all our materials have gone up significantly driving our costs up. The Lombard V5 is now (just) $399.
Changes apply to the Mojave & Commute Suit as well. The Mojave is now $349 and commute stays at $299.

We have created a basic comparison chart for our suits here:

Now .. here are the new colors for the Power Shell

Black:

Hi Viz:

Now a preview of what I just put up on the Navigator thread:

Dang it Ghazi, are you trying to bankrupt me??? I'm still waiting for the sample suit and those pics have got me thinking about how I'm going to afford a Powershell instead of a Mojave.....

I do think you have a great thing going here and what seems like a great product (haven't actually ever got to see or touch one yet).

Do you have a pic of the V5 Lombard- black on black, or with just a little red?

Or is like the old pic on the bottom of the website page?

Thanks

How about a pic of a V5 in HiViz? The Powershells look great.

I read earlier in this thread a request from another reader for the zipper to be flipped to start at the top instead of the bottom a la Roadcrafter. I'd like to echo the request as I feel it is a vastly superior means of getting into the suit. With the zipper as it is on the Power Shell you have to do all the fiddling while uncomfortably bent over and with material that is less "controlled" for lack of a better word. You have to "find" both ends of the zipper as the leg material is more free flowing at the bottom of the legs, then thread the zipper to get it started all while bent over. When the zipper is started from the top you already have the sleeves on and both sides of the zipper are always in an easily reachable and viewable location. Additionally, you are standing up comfortably while doing the most finicky part, threading the zipper. While getting out of the suit, again with the Roadcrafter style zipper, is also quite easy. Starting at the bottom of your leg grabbing the zipper doesn't require any attention, just bend over, do the easy zipper grab, pull up to the top, do the sometimes finicky zipper unhooking again while upright and comfortable with the zipper close to your face if you need to look at it. Getting out of a suit that undoes the other way again requires you do do the potentially finicky part of unhooking the zipper while bent over. The youtube video of the gentleman getting in an out of a Power Shell shows this dwell in the bent over position even in a presumably ideal situation when most things "line up" well.

I've have over 100,000 miles on a 15 year old Roadcrafter it is time for a switch. I've been doing my research with all other suits on the market. I had the opportunity to spend a month with an early Alpinestars 360 prototype as well. It too had a two way zipper arrangement. I like most things about your suits better ranging from price to, venting, to features, to aesthetics and beyond. Really, the biggest thing making me hesitate is the operation of the zipper. I fully understand that this would require a more expensive two way zipper vs the current one way zipper but is it really a significant design change? I'm not in the textile business so my ignorance here will shine through, but at first glance it would seem to me that you could just stitch in a two way zipper in place of the one way zipper using the same patterns and procedures? I guess that is provided you can get a two way zipper that is close enough to the same size (width?) as the one way. Maybe I answered my own question.

Anyhow, can you please confirm or deny that a two way zipper is not in the plan for any of your products?

thanks.

I do think you have a great thing going here and what seems like a great product (haven't actually ever got to see or touch one yet).
No response on this?

Based on popular demand, we are introducing a new color for the Mojave series: Hi Viz. The shell (mesh) will be Dark Gray and ballistics will be Hi Viz Cordura.
