The combination Givi screen and Adventure winglets is great. It is nearly as quiet as my R1150RT that I just sold. If you use a site like Photo Bucket to put your photos on line they have a program that easily re-sizes you photos for submission to a site like this. Free site too!

Joining the Land of the LIving

Like an irresistable force drawing the immovable object, I have succumbed to GS lust, and have joined the legion of Dirt, also known as The Dark Side.

I got my spare bodywork back from the painter the other day and got it mounted and got out for the first ride of the year. The pictures don't really show the difference as well as in person, it's a lot brighter blue than the original Ocean Blue was.

Here's a new one from today, looks like it maybe shows the color a little better.....

Since it still needs to be buffed out I didn't remount the winglets yet, what a mistake! They're going back on before I ride again today. I'd forgotten how bad the wind noise and helmet buffetting was without them. It was also my first ride with the Sargent heated seat, from just sitting on it when I got it I wasn't quite sure what all the fuss was about but now that I've had a chance to ride with it it is definitely an improvement over the stock one and the heat sure is nice, plenty warm enough even with the Alaska Leather sheepskin on, in fact once it gets warmed up I have to turn it down to about 1/3 on the thermostat or it's just TOO hot.

Definitely better than stock color! I don't see how BMW designers could have chosen the dull stock blue color.

I love the white color and the red/black seat of the GS ADV. I wished they had it on 'ordinary' GS's too.
