That explains a lot. I do admire your packing abilities, but then again I always pack way too much shit with me when I travel .

Yeah but the dealer made an 18km shakedown run. It's in the checklist.

Anyways, I don't really care so far, cause less than 2 hours later, it was really shit brown, and full of mud !

I understand the acquisition, but please tell me there is still some orange in that garage.

After a year of waffling about it MrsLurch, wonderful gal that she is, said why don't you just buy the R1200GSA - you deserve it.

An offer like that is hard to refuse so, with thanks to the lovely Mrs. L, here is my new ride:

One happy dood.

Of course my dealer, Lester, has a smile too. After all, he just sold a bike:

I felt a bit sad leaving my old R1100 behind but I'm sure he'll end up in a good home, and soon:

Luggage, tank bag, etc coming soon. I was going to stick with my Jesse Odyssey bags but decided the BMW bags were pretty trick. Otherwise there isn't much to add from the BMW accessory list. Has all the bells and whistles but the traction control and tire pressure sensors. Of course I'll have to add a few things and I have to transfer all the electronics from the old bike to the new one. Let the games begin. I am stoked!!!!

On my way home on the new wheels - don't you just love the color combo?

Wish I could... but I sold the SE last week and got what I consider a really fair trade-in value for the 525 today.

Bryan, you've got a great bike and a great dealer as well.. Very impressed by Frank's during the National rally in Vermont last year. Enjoy
