Bryan, you've got a great bike and a great dealer as well.. Very impressed by Frank's during the National rally in Vermont last year. Enjoy

Being the latest member of the NOOBist colony, ans a new owner of a used 2004 R1200GS (Bog standard), I am glad to add a pic or 2 to such a fine collection of bikes. I've been riding enduro bikes for 24 years, and never imagined owning a 1200cc enduro Bike, but boy, am I glad i do! Thats my sweetie (Mrs. Airguitar) who took a ride with me..

It seems strange to me that this gentleman was counting down day after day until taking delivery of his ride ... but no news from him since this last message. I'm worried ... Hopefully, he loved so much his ride he decided to go to Ushuaia right away from the dealer

Handsome ...let us know.

Well I finally did it. Have been a HD rider for many years and always had a secret passion for BMW. I pick it up tommorow.

God Bless,

Commander, thanks for your concern. I am indeed alive and well and deliriously satisfied afer my trek from Reno Nevada to North Vancouver. This bike is everything I have ever read about it and surprisingly a couple things more that I did not expect. I will post the long awaited photo and a brief report as soon as I see daylight through the pile of work that has accumulated. At ease.

I know that feeling!

After riding home to BC from Mississippi on my GS a year ago, I wanted to turn around and head back. Lucky for us BC has some of the best "GS Country" in the world!

Congrats on the new steed!

Well, got the bike home a couple hours ago. Trailered it home because some of the roads here are still bad. I decided I couldnt look at it anymore and thought I would take a spin around the block. Threw a leg over it, turned the key, waited for it to cycle and click, click, click................I was sick. The dealer started it up before we put in on trailer. I have no Idea. The battey seems charged......................oh well. Another night of reading the forums.....................

Read the manual

JB - that is a bit of bad news....let me know how you fair. It will most likely be something minor....and that frown will then be gone!

I will be interested though....four weeks and counting.

cheers and good luck
