First shot at posting photos. This is my GS I picked up about a week ago. Had a whopping 995 miles on it when I got it. Photo taken before I had even ridden it. Put a couple hundred miles on it and loving it so far.

been dreaming of a GS since I saw an 1150 back in '03...

05 12GS new to me in NOV07.

This is a ride to Rainier on 13 JAN 08.

it looks smaller than the original GS rim...

still loving it...

even in the cold. Got in about 125 miles on my bike today, great day for sure, cold but not that bad and with the sun out just makes it all better.....

Looks like a 17" rim from an RT (05-07). It is becoming a more common mod. Some claim in improves handling. See this thread:

Thanks. For the boots I just took my old pair and had them re-soled with the 'highway patrol' type soles. Great for local riding and comfy too. Wear them whenever I commute.
