Typical road cack as supplied by HM Government

2005 GS. 9k miles in 9 months, commute most days except when overseas or at exhibitions where I metamorphose into White Van Man.
Too much aftermarket shite, some works, some dont.
Carbon hugger (good)
Touratech Beak extender (OK)
Front Fenda Extenda (so-so)
Rear fender extender from Wunderlich (is it there? can't tell)
Wunderlich hand protector extenders ( sort of OK)
BM's own expanding luggage. (Great, but SHIT it was expensive!!!)
Touratech cylinder head protectors (great, discreet, v.useful.)
Touratech 35mm bar risers.( Over 6' tall then these are a MUST!)
Touratech ally mesh oil cooler cover (Shite. cost me 35 quid and fell off on day one. I rode over it and sqaushed it. the cover is only glued to the ally frame, and the hot oil looseened the cover-great idea huh? I retrieved the cover and rivetted it back on.)
Autocom intercom with all toys and goodies for using the iPod on the daily commute.
From BMW at factory order: Wire wheels, heated grips, ABS.

Thumb

Here's mine on my cross country jaunt. It's a constant work in progress, but aren't they all?

Staintune exhaust
K&N Air Filter
Autocom comm system
XM Satellite Radio
BMW System Cases (since been sold, replacing with Jesse's)
Engine guard bars
Aluminum cylinder head guards

It would be a MUCH longer list to put all of the things that are going to go on the bike...

my bike is the bomb.
when we stop to rest, she grabs my jacket to lay her head on and then the duffel with spare clothes for her backside. Then just lies down and naps till i wake her.

Happy to join the club

A recent photo of me and my new GS in Kentucky. I'm already loving everything about this bike.

Must be the photographer.....

My shield is rattling something fierce, looks like I need some type of new TT gadgetry. Thing sounds like a broken subwoofer at low rpms.

Mine did, too, after nine months of ridin'. All it took was the torx tool to the two screws at the bottom of the shield. Viola.

Question about the black & white photo

What is the black piece on the front of the bike on the left? A rubber fender guard? What is it called and where do you get them?

Thx

Eddie
