It's called an Adventure bumper beak condom. I think Touratech sells them to guys who wish they had the Adventure model.....something to do with reverse aerodynamics...and penis envy

well, aerodynamically, it will help keep your front wheel more planted, Perry.

maybe useful for you??

[hey, i've got some spare TT windshield hard parts for you that might help with the bass woofer. leave them at the EAR?]

It's the "front fender extension" and it's provided by BMW (p/n 46-61-7-664-390). Same thing as goes on the front of the Adventure, like Perry said (sort of). I put one on my 1150 this past saturday. It doesn't do anything for the aerodynamics, and frankly I don't think it will deflect appreciably more mud, since it only sticks out an extra inch and a half or so. But it does look cool -- I think it makes my bike look a bit more aggressive. It also covers up a scratch where some jackass backed into my bike.

Er, never mind, I was talking about the extension for the 1150. Forgot what thread I was in. For the 1200 it is indeed a Touratech part.

Are you saying I'm having wheel to ground issues?
That's Tribeless, you've got me confused with.

I like the orange color...didn't know they made the GS in that color.

update on new farkles and functions

It's even uglier from this angle.

TT pillion seat bag, large: waterproof, locks to bike, makes a good back cushion. Function.

TT headlight guard with glare guard: clean, simple, looks better than the other solutions. Function.

TT cylinder guards: beautiful but superficial, I suppose, if you already have engine guards. Farkle.

TT beak: farkle.

Remus Revolution exhaust: pure sound farkle, nothing more, nice pops and growl. Farkle. Header later? Then function.

Sargent seat: good, well made, thirty day return policy (who else has that?). Function.

Wilbers front and back: made the bike higher than before (not so good) but now I can put the bike on the centerstand with nothing but my foot. I'm still playing with the adjustments but this is the best thing I've done to the bike. Function.

Hyperlites: sixteen LED version flashing inspired by elculopadre's bike. In light of recent face plant reports (I'm thinking about you Dale B) it's a good thing. Function.
