New-to-me 2009 GSA

This thing is so so much better than my 2000 1150GS. It's a 2009 with 7500 miles. She really delivers the mail.

Commute:
2009 R1200GS

Short trips:
2009 R1200GS Adventure

I started this thread 6 years ago and over the years I have owned at least 10 GS's. I find them to be the best bike for me. This is my latest and hopefully my last...

You certainly have arrived at a beauty if this is truly to be your last one but c'mon...you know you are going to want a liquid cooled one in 2013!

I had put about every mod on my 1150 for performance and handling it still didn't measure up to my stock 1200GS.

So anyway, I thought we could have a thread for pics of our 1200 GS's . I would like to see what everyone has done to theirs now that they have been out 1+ years and no - Nachtflug will not be involved - at least till he succumbs and buys one.

So let the displays begin and I will start with my almost 100% bone stock one - non ABS model.

Yes you did. In case you've forgotten what she looked like. . .. Great thread.

ADV Topbox modification......!

I used the large 1200ADV alloy pannier to use as a topbox and its lower and a bit wider with the locks on the 'sides' but it works well. These were accident damaged boxes and I used the undamaged portions to make the new boxes cutting off the scuffed and dented section and joining the good 'bits' together

1. That is a sexy ride!

2. You should be slapped if this is truly your last one.

3. What was your favorite?

I was looking at some revit gear (Sand or Tornado) online but had never heard of it or seen it in person. Is it really good? Do you have personal experience with either the Sand or Tornado gear?

Thanks for your help!

I don't have either of those although I have tried on the Sand and I do like it very much. I own a Sirocco jacket, Axis pants, and their Phantom gloves. The fit and finish on all of their products is top notch, far and above poor fitting items from Tourmaster and the likes. Most of their items run on the small size, but Revzilla can help you with sizing. For reference, I am 6' ft tall with a 31 waist and I wear a Large in all of their products except for the Axis pants.

As stated above, KLIM is a nice option also if you have the coin. My wife would have my nuts on a mantle if I bought a $1k jacket
