Yeah, this would probably incite domestic violence if I weren't.

First post, new GS

Just back from a 2100 mile trip to the Blue Ridge Mtns. Previous owner took it to Mexico and then parked it in the garage for a year. I bought it two weeks ago.

I have a headlight glare cover and Touratech hand guard extensions that I have not installed yet. Also, just got a Garmin 378C w/XM weather for the last trip. Worked flawlessly and helped us avoid some nasty storms!

Here's what the XM weather gives you ...

That's very cool! When my Quest runs its course a new GPS with that feature will be high on the priority list. Hope you'll share a photo of how you have the unit mounted on your bike.

Here's a friend on her R1200GS during our Iron butt run to James Bay in July '05. Fascinating destination for a relatively easy 1000 in 1 if anyone's considering it.

Newly Minted

My newly acquired '05. There were tons of red ones in our local club, so this is Electric Lime Green Pearl, a Jeep Wrangler color. The bike is non-abs with a few things added and a few things taken off. The car is a 1935 Lincoln, it was parked there so I posed the GS next to it and took the shot. Went in got a coffee and the car was gone when I returned.

Packed Mule

Here's the trusty steed on my latest Grand Canyon circumnavigation camping trip. The additional cargo capacity of the R1200GS over the CBR1000RR made this year's camping at the North Rim more comfortable, and the riding position was better suited to an 1,100 mile weekend, too. What a great way to see a beautiful part of the southwest!

Ah Good Hoss!

Here's ah few shots of my GS1200 on my recent trip to Deadhorse Alaska. The GS really earned my respect, a 10369 mile round trip, the GS preformed flawlessly. If you are interested here's a link to the rest of the photos.

One time I had a Triumph Spitfire 1500 that colour. It went to put a bike in the garage.
