Beautiful day today, autumn colors in the mountains this year weren't great but had a great ride:

Burned up two tanks of gas, it was cool, clear, not a breeze nor cloud in the sky. This has been the hottest/driest summer on record here in utard, I'm happy to feel the cool weather!

Nice, but it is a Camhead, not an Oilhead.

2013+ R1200 water cooled are Wetheads

There is some carryover between engine configurations. The GSA went to 2006 as an 1150. The R/RT went to 2011 as Hexheads and the 2013 GS was the only Wethead, the others were Camheads.

Some odd outliers even with those caveats.

Yaaahh for me, I finally figured out how to post a photo!

I bought my '13 Adventure in September. Recent surgery has prevented me from riding it much but I should be back in the saddle in a couple weeks. Only 700 miles on it. I hang my head in shame.

Say, Friz, how did you mount those Clearwater lamps?

Thanks, NoVa Rider. I've a '14 GSA on the way sometime next year and I'm trying to figure out how to mount my Kristas so they're out of harm's way in a tip-over or low-speed get-off.

The Ericas were mounted at the dealer but I presume they used the Clearwater clamp brackets that came with the kit. The clamps were attached directly to the BMW crashguard. I actually like the location because I think (never having done it yet) it might help keep the lights out of harm's way in a simple get down. Here's a closeup of the mount:

Nice set-up! Thank you, Friz.
