Picture of my beautiful daughter who was kind/foolish/brave enough to ride with me to Big Bend National Park this weekend. Bike is also kind of neat.

Our pics vs Flugs

It seems to me that the pics of the 1200 GSs on this site "Let's see your 1200 GS" are of a higher quality and more beautiful surroundings than the one's on Flug's "GSs that suck". Keep up the great quality of pics. They are much more inspiring than some half naked chick that doesn't ride propped on a GS seat.

ABSOLUTELY. And without all the egocentrism to boot...

I have a pic on page 2...but here's sum-mo from a recent trip:

Rode in the clouds much of this day

She visits sunset views...

And sleeps comfortably in a tent after a long day of bliss

Peace out.

Mine

I am amazed at how nimble this bike feels compared to my 1150.

You should try it from our perspective! We came back from lunch to find this (I don't know how I held the camera up to tell the truth!)

Actually, Cycle Specialties in Modesto had stripped it to have a look at the well known 12GS tranny oil leak and ended up replacing the seals, clutch and gearbox as well as machining the balancer shaft. They did a great job because the bike felt better all round afterwards - plus it was all warranty work - Every cloud has a silver lining.

We weigh in at 1150 lbs all up so with 22k miles up now in a year so I reckon we should expose any 'weaknesses'.

The bikes hard life continues - we're doing 1800 miles from Tuscon to Vancouver next week to catch the plane to NZ so I might try and treat it to a Bill Mayer Seat on the way back through California if he can fit us in. (If your watching Rocky )

Beautiful Bike Chuck. I love the silver paint! It looks great with the black panels. Where did you have it done?

Hey Simon, do you live in Tucson? I will be moving there in the spring.

Jim

PS I grew up there too.
