Eh?

This wussy just admitted defeat. After two solid hours of googling I came up close but no cigar.

I would like to share this excellent web page that I ran across that details some of the history of Alabama's Hydroelectric dams and it has some great photography. Someone may be able to take some of this info and come to a realization of where the tag is and have the time to run grab it.

I'm just too tired and am facing a very long workday that starts now and will likely run until way after dark today.

Good luck and ride safe... ATGATT!

I was looking here too. There is one bridge near Samson though, that google doesn't give a good view of. It might be worth the ride out there tonight.

Bob, I looked for about 2 hours too with my wifes help and we didn't get much. There isn't much info out there (aside from that book you found) on old hydro facilities.

Great Tag!

Cybertag.... I just found it and there is a remote chance I will be able to break away for the 3-4 hours this afternoon to make the ride and grab it!

Did you ever have one of those moments when you had given up completely on a thought train and like magic the answer just appeared before your minds eye? Well.... I just had one. I went back and read Jody's clues one more time and there it was... Right in front of my eyes. Great tag Jody!

Now if I can just find the time to go grab it before timetrax talks her husband into taking the time off from work to beat me to it...

Hunter: You and I must be looking in the same place that is the exact pick I sent to Jody. I guess you also read where it was located on that same site. I think the tree coverage keeps it from being seen on google earth.

timetrax,

I'm sending you a PM with the information on how I finally realized where it was. It's so simple it blew my mind and I kept overlooking Jody's excellent clues.

YEEEEE HAAAAAAW

I realize it's not the exact same picture, but if timtrax can get away with her tag....I'm pretty darn close.

When I first got to the the bridge I looked to the west and kept looking and looking and I thought, " dangit, I'm not at the right place." It wasn't till I was almost off the brigde I looked the other way and saw it. I had to turn around twice to get the right pic and dodge traffic in the mean time. It's on the east side of the bridge and the road is pretty busy as indicated.

Anyway, thats one more the Tallahassee tag master didn't get.

GREAT Everyday! Way to go! I knew that you'd finally come through. The only way you could have got the same photo is to have taken my bike, and left mid day for the correct sun position!

I am glad you got out there today, and figured out my clues. Good to know it gave you a bit of a challenge!

So we're looking forward to your next mural photo? Just kidding.

I'll have to let the next few slide, give somone else a chance to jump in on the game.

Tat2trav..... Guess you got it all figured out. Called you back, but got v-mail.

I will have to come on over and take a looky at your tag from today and see what you rode two hours each way to go get. Starting to sound like Bob going the distance. Well the Bob we knew before he got a J O B . Now work is cracking the whip and we're not sure we'll ever see him round these parts again.

Question Where we going...

Everyday

Wonder if I can get in one more before the trip?

Google Maps Up To Date Again. Maybe the last update for a month. Sorry guys and Gals won't have high speed internet in the Jungles, so I will check in when I can and try to keep up to date.

Keep the Game going and inviting others to join! If you want a post card to give a friend or flyer to put up on a bulletin board at your church, school, or at work, just drop by the shop and ask my father, Howard for one.

Y'all are just gonna get complacent and think the Tallahassee Tagmaster is out of it but one of these days pretty soon his business will get back to a managable amount and he's gonna sneak up to 'Bama and steal that tag and put is slap on the Gulf Coast...

I have a pretty good idea when that'll be but I won't share that information. Just keep listening for that screamin' Wee to flash past you as I show y'all how it's REALLY DONE. From then on it's GAME ON and I'll show NO MERCY!!!

So enjoy your gloating boys and girls. Have your fun at my expense.

But in the famous words of my avatar.... "I'll be back"
