Trav,

Right on... Kick some South Florida butt and show 'em how us panhandle crackers do it!!!

Hey... Link us to the tag thread where you got your tag. We can help you gloat...

When you get back up here we oughta team up and show "The Dothan Dingbats" how us crackers can do it.

If they can't run with the BIG DOGS they'd best stay on the porch.

Not that I can play this one, but seems like I should go with the majority (timetrax) and vote DIRT!

Wink

I can't play either because we have company but if my vote still counts I vote dirt because so far most have been all pavement.

Besides... timetrax needs another she can tackle with her 4 wheeler...

Alright, so the search has been narrowed to dirt roads.

Soils of different types and rocks of many sizes are needed to support roads, buildings and bridges. To the tag you may find a place where these materials are chosen.

This road is rated a 2 for the most part. Be careful however, portions are sugar like sand.

BTW I have been stopped 3 times this month at road checks for license, registration and insurance while tagging. Keep your stuff current, and keep it with you.

I just read the road rating scale again. Better make that a 3.5. It's a nice cruise to this tag, you all should enjoy it.

You know most of this is cool......BUT! when a tag is found NO ONE has said where it is! I have not been to most of these places, but would like to see them! I thought this was to also help to see the country!!!!??

spntshell,

Look at any of KawDlr's posts and then click on the link at the bottom of his post named "Found Tags on SATOR".

Then when that page opens up click on any of the tags on the map or in the links on the left and you can get a lot of info.

Welcome Mark (spntshell).

We planned this area to involve more of South Alabama. The original Alabama tag thread started up near Huntsville/ B-ham areas and it would be hard to beat those guys to a tag with a 4+ hour ride one way. So this tag came to light. I wouldn't mind riding through out South Alabama on my day off to grab a tag, if I knew the location to show people that it is possible to sneak in and tag it and move it to a location they will have to search for. The mystery and clue solving part is only half the fun of the competition. I started this tag game in our area, but as soon as the weather breaks, there are a few NW Florida guys wanting in on the action! They will jump at the chance to come over and drag the tag back your way. So stay tuned and you'll be hooked in no time. In the mean time, try your hand at the clue research, google earth or street view when you think you have narrowed the area, and then if you are positive you have the area nailed down. Then jump at the chance to get away on your bike for a bit of ADVenture. Or just boast that HEY I KNOW WHERE THAT IS!

Just look at LDHunter as an example on the first tag. He struck out on a below 50 day with less than adequate cold weather gear to ride over 400 miles to be the first to nab a tag. Way to go Bob(LDHunter)!

Hey EVERYDAY!

CLUES? N S E W of the last tag? The field is wide open on this clue spectrum. Plus I am drawing a blank on the rock quarry reference. But then again... I am just here to cyber tag for a month....
