The ride to work this morning was wet for sure. I wondered if anyone would have adventured out this morning in search of the tag, I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who rides in the soup.

I'd be careful about posting your progress though, you realize you are narrowing the search for other riders. - You don't want to tip your hand.

I'm eager to find it. I knew that posting the details would help others, but this one will take a few trips to narrow and grab the tag. Maybe it will rev others up to get out there today while I am stuck here at the store......... But this afternoon... Maybe just maybe I can locate something that looks close enough to pass for this tag!

I think I got it. I will go tomorrow morning again before work, that is if I can see to find it among the dense pea soup fog we're having.

That way I will have Sunday morning to place the new tag...... Hmmm where will it be. I think where ever I put it, it will be in the setting sun.......

I'm not saying your assumptions are correct, Jody. However, if you see a headlight piercing the fog behind you, I may or may not be running your next tag down behind you.

The day started out worse than the last. Couldn't even see the road from the house when I woke up the fog was heavier than I anticipated. I think everybody in town knew I wanted to get out of the shop on my lunch and grab this before anyone else got to it. So the hoards of people just kept coming. I kept waiting for someone to post they tagged it. I Got a break early afternoon and off I went. The sun shining brightly and the roads were all quite. I got there and back rather quickly thanks to the KLR650 I took.
Here is the location sign out by the road.


I felt like I was close the last time out, but just didn't have time to get there before work. I knew when the time was right I could nail it.

Things that gave it away.
Off highway 95(where all other tags were found, almost)
Dirt road was narrow, all Houston county roads have 60' right of way, so I knew it had to be government land.
Wooden bridge, looks fairly up to date. Another replacement would have been concrete if on co road.
This and the fact there was camping led me to the Chattahoochee State Park and I rode right to the bridge tag and snapped it and right back. I did notice there were other bike tracks there. So someone happened there or was after this and didn't make it on time.

Did you ride around to the pond? I rode the other way and came to the bridge from the opposite direction. It's a nice place down in there.

I wonder if anyone else was out looking for it today?

I started to, then saw another set of Motorcycle tracks, and though I better get back quick if I want to place the next tag. I will be out as early as the fog lets me safely find the next tag on Sunday.

KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN you may want to research this tag and hit the streets before the sun sets on the NEW TIME. Don't forget to reset your clocks. I love late afternoon rides on Daylight Savings Time.

I had it narrowed down to the two State Parks on the river (Chattahoochee and Omussee) but couldn't get away to go grab the tag. I was up into the wee hours last night pouring over aerials and finally settled on Omussee as the probable one with Chattahoochee as the backup.

I ended up working all day today so I had to find out the hard way that Jody had grabbed it when I got home....

I'm NOT working tomorrow so I'll be primed and really ready to go as soon as Jody posts the clues and pictures. Y'all are gonna have to get up and ride pretty early to beat this early bird.
