I would think that if he rode 1 (hard and fast) hour south it would have to be in Florida but with Jody who knows, maybe he left his compass at home. It is a pretty spot.

You are correct. I did leave the compass at home, also the GPS for that matter(not a planned ride). But fortunately for me, I've been here before!

They're places resembling that in South AL, but that is not in it .

Thanks for stopping by, even if your not riding or playing with us at this time. We're encouraging people to get involved, then they may find themselves wanting to get out and ride, or try something new with their bike. Not to mention if we encourage someone to try motorcycling for the first time that is interested in riding based solely on the adventure.

I'm back to more loooong hours at work. Seems that I keep getting surprized at all the work I have.

I spent an hour or so looking for this tag with google and aerials and suggest a verbal clue or two if someone doesn't find it Thursday. If you haven't actually been there IMO the difficulty factor on this one is very high.

A hint?

This is a quote from Kawdlr's post:

"They're places resembling that in South AL, but that is not in it"

Does this mean the tag is in Florida??

Yeah, he also said Sketo's Hole was 40 miles to the west of Chattahoochee State Park.

I think we have another rider going to join. He know's where the tag and showed me. I may try to get it friday if no-one gets it by then as his bike is layed up. Getting the time to get it is going to be the challenge. If it's not gone by Friday, I may try to take off and get it late in the afternoon.

I will say, after looking at the location, hints probly aren't necessary. Look hard at Jody's pics and google earth.

The statement was by the way the crow flys, I believe , and it was approx 40 miles. Not that mattered....

New Clues

Ok Everyday claims he has found the tag, and time will tell.

So lets have a few more clues.

South of the tag is a Mari ole place with strong cival war history.

Lots of Red Dirt connecting in every direction.

You can ride from the Alabama Line to this tag 95% dirt connecting roads.

The water flowing in this direction is colder than normal, and the land from which it springs has been in the same family since before the cival war.

OK EVERYDAY if you know this tag, it should be very clear if your on the right track . For everyone else, this should put you on the hunt and provide some interest.

Wicked

Tomorrow I'll be anchored in the office all day...

If that tag is available Saturday morning I'll be there at the crack of dawn if it's not raining!

Sounds as if the heat is on.....

If the weatherunderground is correct you have a 50% chance of nailing this tag either Sat or Sun, that is if Everyday doesn't grab it before then.

Bob, all the sudden all this work? You'd think there was a housing boom in Florida. If there is, I hope your selling it.

Nope... Nothing like a recovery or boom yet. It's just a bunch of people hoping that this will be the summer that their house sells and they're scrambling to get them on the market.

I'm working looong days to try to keep everyone happy.

But Saturday!!! Well.... I'll just say this... Everyday... You might need more than luck....

Lance (BigDog) and I have started working on a Tallahassee Tag-o-Rama for the counties east of the South Alabama one and are setting up several tags to get it going.

We probably won't actually start it until Mid April or so and we intend to have a much smaller geographical area than the SATOR to keep it fast and furious.

I won't promise that the Wee won't talk me into sneaking over to Jody's last tag today so no whining if I sneak out and grab it and move the tag to the Gulf coast. If I do that you 'Bama boys might have a pretty hard time getting it back to Sweet Home Alabama...

What is this? SATOR too hard for you guys? You know there is already a game you can play in your back yard called Hide-and-go-Seek.

I'll let you guys know around noon if I'm going to make it out to grab this one up. I hate to see Bob grab this and bury in the sand.

SATOR is a bit far for me most of the time. As an example I rode 264 miles the day I grabbed the first tag and placed the other one. I don't often have time for trips of that length but I had a LOT of fun that day I must admit.
