Runnin' Home - Tierra Del Fuego to Oregon!
Come on in! Put your helmet on, buckle your seatbelt (if that's your flavor), we're going on a ride!!
We hope you'll join us for the next 3 months as we adventure our way home from the southern most city in the world, Ushuaia Argentina, back to Oregon. 10 days and counting till we're out of here!! WAHHOOOOO!!!! ![]() If you are unfamiliar with ADVrider.com, come on in. Don't be shy! This is a forum and community of wonderful people who share a passion for dual sport motorcycle travel. You are welcome here, even if you don't ride. In my time of riding with and getting to know these folks, I have been amazed at the caliber, goodness, and generosity of this community. And I have found some very wonderful and dear friends here, too!! Cheers, guys - You know who you are!! Introductions: There are 4 of us journeying together - myself (Erica), Scott, Chris, and Tim. The common thread between each of us is that we are firefighters. I work for a department in Oregon and the guys work for a neighboring department in Washington. It is our unique schedule combined with vacation time and the ability to trade shifts that allows us to take 3 months off. It's basically "play now, pay later" for me. I'll be working heaps this summer to pay back this time . ....but that's later. And this is NOW!!! I was originally planning a 2 month solo, Panama and back, ride. But in January Scott called to say that there was space available on the container that they were shipping their bikes in, and would I like to ship my bike south rather than riding round trip. It took about half a second to answer that question !! With a little bit of effort I procured another month off and signed up for the full meal deal!! 2 1/2 weeks later the bikes were being loaded on a ship headed for Chile!!![]() ![]() Chris and his ride, saying good-bye. ![]() Tim and his ride. ![]() Me and my ride, from a different ride. ![]() Scott and his ride. ![]() uh, opps. I guess that was from some other ride! But while I'm at it... ![]() I'll let the guys introduce themselves from here! Off we go!!! YAHOOOO!!!
