Scorpio - I've played maybe five or six hours so far and found that the size of the city maps is really annoying. I took up a whole 5-city region now, and I've been specializing my cities.

In reality though, that's sort of what happens. You have a big-ass city that's really different sections, like the boroughs in NYC or any large city with its various districts. That's how I'm looking at it. It feels a little bit better when I run out of room and can't upgrade ANYTHING - hey, I'll just bulldoze it and plant it in the next town over.

Yeah, they've been bitching about high rents in one section of my town, I just ignore them and add on to the mayor's mansion.

I might need to get this game....when it sells for dirt cheap and the server issues are resolved. Seriously fuck EA for that shit.

Until then I'll just be a dictator on my tropical island.

Since playing the Fallout series of games on my 360, everything leaves me wanting more. I can't wait for Fallout 4, but suspect it's a LONG ways off.

In the meantime I picked this up, I remember playing most of these in the arcades, and figured as usual with retro games, they'd be nowhere near as fun a I remember.

My problem is with the game itself, and the size of the cities. They're freaking tiny. You could literally run out of room to expand within an hour, then it's a waiting game trying to get your building densities up. Oh cool, you finally unlocked the Nuclear Power Station, which densely-populated area of your city do you want to raze so you can put it in?
It's 2 km by 2 km which is more like Sim Town then a Sim City.

So you finally got your city humming along at 120,000 population, and then you get a message about your $250,000 water pump drying out. What do you mean my water pump is drying out? IT'S BY THE FUCKING RIVER! So you look at the water table map, and sure enough the area around your pump is white. You know where the blue is, not by the fucking river, right smack in the middle of downtown where the 50-story buildings are. FUCK YOU MAXIS!
It's fucking tedious.

classic.

and Maxis games since the beginning have been about tedium. The only way to get anywhere in their games is to pour hours into them.... and it sounds like they finally jumped the shark

Too bad we can't morph Sim City and Borderlands.

I'd love to blow up GB's Mayor's Mansion.

The latest Tomb Raider sucks. It's a war game that rips off LOST .

I got sucked in by torchlight 2... It is a really thought out and well designed game. Simple but fun, a great diablo 3 replacement.

I've been playing multiplayer black ops 2 with my boy. He is thrilled to be showing me all the tips and tricks of the game, so it's worth playing for that alone. Now that I'm getting used to the weapons and maps, it's actually decent . I still wish fall out 4 was on the way soon.

Just had a major oh shit moment.....1/3 of the way through Assassins Creed Revelations and it freezes while saving

Then it wouldn't load my game at all and I was debating just giving up since I didn't want to redo that much of the game. But then I took one of the 2 save files and put it in the cloud and it works!!!! Well until 10 min later and it froze again, but not at a save point at least
