Here's some RE5 Vids.
The graphics look great. The whole game looks a lot more fluid than the previous ones. For whatever reason the embed feature didn't work so here's the links. http://www.gamespot.com/ps3/adventur...ag=videos;sd;5 http://www.gamespot.com/ps3/adventur...ag=videos;sd;1 http://www.gamespot.com/ps3/adventur...ag=videos;sd;3 (If you dig around on the gamespot's website they have the same videos in 540P) Can't wait to get started on my new games, but I won't get out of class until after 10 tonight and I go in at 7am tomorrow.

I dug Fallout because I was a way into the "Day after Disaster" sci-f books when I was a kid. So the idea of roaming the wastelands like Mad Max appeals to me. Listen for the subtleties in FA3. The supermarket is a lot of fun for that. Some of the audio reactions are a hoot.
But I did discover in GTA IV that if you do wheel spinning donuts long enough in the cars, the tires will blow up. The cars handle like shit on rims.

I prefer gaming on a PC because you are more in control. I like having to build the machine myself to suit my tastes. And then there is the modding of games. The downside is that most games now start out as console games and then convert to PC - often to the detriment of the game.

Arm. The. Bomb. Hot damn that was a helluva boom. Kinda freaked me out after watching that fucker going off and thinking about em raining from the sky whenever "IT" happened. *Edit, Oh and the MIRV. I got that thing, promptly saved the game and proceeded to radiate the shit out of myself. I played through twice. Once in goody goody mode. Then I went all ted bundy. People freak the fuck out when you start eating the people you just killed.

I'm a huge nerd.
Now that we've gotten that out of the way. I let out an audible gasp when I came across this. http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/sim/...l-movie-1?hd=1

Has anyone traveled over to Vault 87 yet? Holy crap. I get nervous everytime the Geiger counter starts clicking. The entrance to that Vault peaks at over 3000 rads/sec! Enough to drop you quick.

Gaming pretty much keeps me sane during the winter - one hidden gem that was obscenely costly new you *may* be able to pick up cheap these days is Steel Battalion.
Xbox only, sadly no 360 back compatibility for this one, but piloting a giant stompy robot is worth keeping the old hardware going. *Especially* when this is the controller you get : ![]() Note - the sequel (sort of), 'Line of Contact' does *not* come with the controller, but the setup can sometimes be grabbed off ebay cheapish, and used original Xbox's can be picked up fairly easily.
