Tellico River Cleanup

The River cleanup is scheduled for Saturday March 14th. Get to the Ranger Station early and they might have some cool T-shirts. They usually have bags and gloves. They were still working on sponsorship as of a few weeks ago. Last year being the exception the weather is usually great and it makes you feel good to help keep the river road clean. It IS after all, one of the best riding roads around . From what I've seen in the last 25 years it's the locals that trash it and the non-locals that pick it up. The ladies at the ranger station agree. The few locals that I've ever seen picking up are about 70 years old. Every year gets a little more of a turnout. Lets keep it going. The snow last year put a dent in it so there's a lot more to pick up this year. Thanks!
