Pretty cool

I can see fly fishing possibilities from your house !

Got some friends coming over to Canada and they are gonna stay in Kamloops for a couple of months.
But they would be renting of course.

cheers

Just as a FYI, I bought my new KTM for $10,998 US in WA State when the CDN dollar was stronger than the US dollar. Saved about 40%

I have only buy gas in Canada when the price is cheaper after conversion, and I buy all my tires in the US.

We get our other bikes serviced in Canada and have a good dealer who I am trying to get to start import his own tires as many BC dealers now do.

I am so thrifty I should be given a free KLR

Thumb My Touratech Canada experience has been good!

Back to the original topic, on March 18 I ordered a TT touring windshield for my F650GS twin and received it today(12 days to receipt - pretty decent in my books). Price plus shipping and 5% GST was $292.25 CDN. Comparing the price plus shipping and duty from Touratech USA would have been about the same.

I'd have to give TT-Canada a for my first transaction with them.

I priced out everything I want and I will have to pay WA state tax because it will be delivered there.

It is 10% cheaper in the USA.

Now, my local dealer said that they can give me 10% off on TT goodies (I usually get 15%) which makes it exactly the same price as getting the from the USA.

I guess I will be buying local, but I will be making sure that they have stock and can have it within a week or I will get it in the USA and have it within 2 days.

If the difference in price is less than $20 - 30, my time is worth more than that and I will buy in Canada - otherwise my bucks go to whoever has good prices and service.

I ordered the tall F650 screen for my buddy while in the US and after it was all said and done it was at least 2 months before it showed up from Germany. I don't think it's been tried out yet.

For anyone that has ordered from out-of-province, did you have to pay both taxes or was it just GST?

Thumb

Just picked up a Touratech locking mount and powerkit for my Garmin 60 from GPS Central here in Calgary.

GPS Central
Touratech Locking Mount $169.95
Touratech Power Kit $39.95
Tax in Total $220.40

Touratech Canada
Touratech Locking Mount $206.60
Touratech Power Kit $72.23
Tax in Total $292.77

I love having options, saved $72.37 by not shopping at Touratech.

Cheers,

Johnny

Sad when you can buy the same product from a 3rd party reseller for less than the original company will sell for.

same experience for me, got the KTM 990 GPS mount from KTM(made by TT) for $53.00, TT Canada wants $83.00. Same part, go figure.

I have been trying to sell my house to everyone;)

I have been speaking with Pierre via email today. Extremely prompt responses and I am putting through a $2700 order tonight. He will match my pannier locks and I am very impressed so far.
